Kareevlei Mine, a subsidiary of London listed (AIM) Blue Rock Diamonds owns kimberlite pits in the Northern Cape of South Africa. Teichmann South Africa (Pty) Ltd have been hiring equipment to the mine and were more recently awarded a contract mining contract mining a number of the pits.
The Mining Fleet initially established on site comprises the following:
- 4 x Bell B30E ADT’s
- 1 x Cat 349D Excavator
- 1 x Cat D6R Dozer
- 1 x Cat 140H Grader
- 1 x Mercedes 3335 Water truck
- 1 x Cat 320D Rock breaker
This contract has opportunity to increase the scope for Teichmann SA with the development of a new plant, and the possibility of tendering on a drill and blast contract .
