Fair Africa Chocolate Factory, Ghana

This was a design and build contract for an international company investing in Ghana from ‘bean to bar’ as part of the fair-trade initiative.

FairAfric is a German start-up company that supplies chocolate to the European market and is basing their business model on being able to supply, produce and wrap the product in Ghana, creating a locally sustainable product that supports the local community as much as possible.

Teichmann Structures was awarded the civil and structural works in conjunction with their EPC design partner, Ascon Africa. After a site visit to one of our sister companies’ projects in Ghana, FairAfric decided to award the job to the Ascon/Teichmann Structures joint venture due to their ability to deliver high quality projects in Ghana.

The project is located in the Central Region of Ghana near the town of Suhum and consists of executing the foundations, structural steel, blockwork, floor slab, mezzanine floor, roof sheeting/cladding, insulation and all doors and windows of a production warehouse.
