LOCAL EMPLOYMENT & SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

We recruit locally wherever possible across all our countries of operation. Both our expatriate specialists and locally employed staff share a responsibility for skills transfer — passing on technical knowledge and professional expertise as an integral part of their day-to-day roles. As members of the Teichmann Group, our people are given real opportunities for growth, enabling them to pursue challenging and fulfilling careers.

How We Operate

‘We apply the International Labour Organisation codes of practice across all our operations and comply fully with country-specific legal and regulatory requirements wherever we operate. We are committed to ethical business conduct, safe working environments, and the fair treatment of every individual who works with us.

Investing in Our Communities

Beyond employment, we actively seek out social investment projects that create lasting benefit for the communities closest to our sites. Our approach focuses on building food security, developing local enterprise, and supporting the wellbeing of the families in the regions where we work. A tangible example of this commitment is the Mashamba Outgrowers Programme in the DRC, through which we provide certified seeds, fertiliser, agricultural sprayers, PPE and ongoing agronomist support directly to smallholder farmers in five villages — giving local families the tools they need to grow, earn and build lasting food security.
